Vlan tagging within a windows guest

Hi

I want to do some vlan tagging (primarily to allow pxe/dhcp build infrastructure to work). I gather we can do this by using an e1000 nic and dowloading the full driver pack from intel.

With vsphere the new vmxnet3 interface supposedly supports tagging - but how can you configure this on a windows server 2003 32 bit (I believe 64 bit does install tagging functionality by default) - is there some additional driver requirement? or am I just missing something obvious - or are we back to the e1000 card?

Thanks

On my 32bit windows 2003 server, I can set the vlan tagging within the server after upgrading the vmware tools on the windows 2003 VM,
