HI,
I need to trunk vlans on vSS.
Say there are three vlans 10,20 and 30.
I am able to create trunk on uplink Physical switch, but not able to find out if how this has to be done on vSS.
Regards,
Sushil
To configure VLAN Tagging, you can set a VLAN on a PortGroup.
Let say you want to have VM1 to be in VLAN 10, VM2 to be in VLAN 20, and VM3 to be in VLAN3.
Then you can create 3 PortGroups each with different VLANs as screenshot below
Connect each VM with appropriate PortGroup.
There is no something like "switchport mode trunk" in vSwitch, you just need to configure a VLAN ID in the PortGroup.
See this KB: VMware KB: VMware KB: Sample configuration of virtual switch VLAN tagging (VST Mode)
