HI All,

Greetings !!

I am using Nexus1K appliance. My monitoring tool keep on triggering the below alert.

Notification Type : PROBLEM
Host : wo-r12-n1k
Address : 10.10.10.56
Service : FRU Module Status
State : CRITICAL
Hostgroup: Switch
Time: Thu Feb 20 22:24:58 UTC 2014
Additional Info: Virtual Supervisor Module(Module Status=OK/ Module State=0.00/ CRIT Alert status=1.00 equal to threshold 1):CRITICAL Virtual Supervisor Module(Module Status=OK/ Module State=1.00/ Alert status=0.00):OK


Can some one plz help me out to explain this notification info  and solution for this issue .

Are you on the 1010? If so is this message from the 1010, or from a n1kv virtual service blade running on the 1010?

On the n1kv how does your show mod look? Both supervisors there? Anything recent in your log?

FRU is normally things like power supplies and line cards I believe.

Hi HeathReynolds,

I am using nexus1000v switch and its provisioned on VMware vsphere 5.1.

Let me know the commands to check the permissions and logs to analyze the FRU..
