VM under Domain

Hi,

I have a Host server which is NOT configured under domain (workgroup).

In this Host I would like to create a Virtual machine under Domain, in order to be able to generate several group policies on the same machine (administrators & users would have a different GUI & capabilities).

is it possible to work in this way?

can I define several VMs with different Domains on the same Host?

Is it possible to install DNS on VM?

Thanks.

Are you talking about a VMWare Server host? Either way, yes you can have VMs all joined to different AD domains on the same host as long as you have the proper IP and DNS configuration.

Yes, it is possible. VM doesn't care about host domain or even DNS name. Each VM has its own IP stack, DNS settings and AD membership, so you can easily make 20 VMs and join each VM to a different domain.
