VM Keeps Losing Network

Have a Win2k12 server that is on a separate VLAN.  This is a camera server and from time to time they will call me and say that the cameras are down. Look at the server and there is NO IP address.  Look at networking on teh OS and it shows Unidentified network.  I Play around with the settings with no luck.  The only way to get things going again is to remove the NIC from within Edit Settings then reinstall a new NIC. I tried VMNET3 nics and teh E1000 with teh same results.  Nothign in teh OS log files either.  Anyone have any ideas?  Any assistance is welcome.  Thanks.

My best guess is that you are using DHCP for the server. Using static IP is recommended for all streaming/RTSP services.

We are not using DHCP.  All static.  This is part of the craziness.

Any chance you're getting a duplicated IP issue ? Did you checked the logs ? Anyway, see if that KB article helps: VMware KB: False duplicate IP address detected on Microsoft Windows Vista and later virtual machines...
