UCS 10GB with no DVS

HI guys,

I have a Cisco ucs deployment using B-series fabric and was wondering the best practice for vswitch config. Using VMware Standard for now so no DVS.

Most guides are based on DVS so any help appreciated.

Need to vmotion, iscsi, production and DMZ networks.

Also interested in failover policies, Nic assignment as I read that it's best at vswitch layer and not fabric?

The vSwitch config doesn't vary much between standard and distributed switch, outside of LBT. I try to pin the networks to a specific fabric, when possible, to avoid hitting the upstream switch and encouraging L2 flows across a single FI. (Not always possible, but nice to try).
