Has anybody configured a VM with Network Team as done on a

Is not necessary, cause you have teaming at vSwitch level.

I think that is possible, put you need a software to do team (in Linux you can use bonding utilities, but in Windows?)

I have done teaming only at the vSwitch level and plan to continue this with vSphere -

vSwitch or vDS teaming is better in that you give the redundancy and failover while making it transparent to the guest.
