Trying to migrate from version 6.7 to 7.0 U3 but I got an error.
Seems my Virtual Distributed Switch is too old and needs an upgrade. The KB (2051311 ) says to avoid issues, it is easiest to configure a new vSphere Distributed Switch and move my hosts.
Can I back up the current switch, create a new vDS, and then restore the configuration on the new switch? Then, one by one, I can move the ESX hosts to the new vDS.
I do not have a lab to do this in to test and I cannot take any chances that this will cause any network interruptions.
