Rule Priority

I have a vSwitch with Nic Teaming properties to: Notify Switch - Yes. I also have a port group on that same vSwitch with Nic Teaming properties of Notify Switches - No. Whose rules have priority on that port group? Sorry I am having some issues with MS NLB and I'm sure this is probably a very basic question.

Thank you for your time.

You can override the vSwitch policy with other settings at port group level.

For MS NLB on ESX see also:

by default all portgroups in a vswitch will have the policy set to the policy of the vswitch unless you explicity override at the portgroup level. In this case since you are overriding the notify switch at the portgroup level so your effective policy notify switch for that portgroup will be "No". thanks
