We are in the process of moving servers from Boston to Atlanta but not all at once.
One server on an ESXi5 host will move to Atlanta tomorrow. We will need users to access the vms on it in Atlanta immediately.
We have vCSR5.1 on a physical server that will stay in Boston. It currently manages our vms.
I know you're not supposed to access vms with both the vCSR5.1 and vsphere client at the same time.
So I assume I will just remove them from the vCSR5.1 Inventory for now?
My question is how we will communicate with them once they are removed from vCSR5.1?
These vms currently communicate via virtual switches through vCSR5.1.
Do we just install the vsphere client on a local workstation and access the ESXi5 host and configure networking so users can access the vms in Atlanta?
Would there be a link to some info on this. My Lowe book covers mostly the vCSR5.1.
