I'm wondering if anyone could offer some advice.
We run a call recording application - this usually consists of two physical servers. Server A has 2 x NICs, one of which needs to mirror the traffic of server B - obviously from a physical port. Would it be possible to achieve this same setup, but using a VM as server A? How could that be configured using VMware and standard switches? How could the VM mirror a physical port? We have a vCenter and ESXi 6.5 environment.
Apologies if this is a simple question (or a dumb question), but if anyone is able to explain the way this could be achieved it would be much appreciated - or even confirmation that it can't be achieved.
