Hi guys,
Currently I have configured mirror port from the physical switch, which will be connected to one of the interfaces on the VMware ESXI host.
However, I'm facing the issue where the VM in the VMware is only getting single traffic direction (only reply packet) instead of bidirectional. - verified through wireshark installed in the VM.
I have done the troubleshooting by connecting the same mirror port to another test machine outside VMware ESXI and it is able to see bidirectional traffic (both request & reply) so basically my mirror port configuration is fine.
Did I miss out something on the VMware side. I checked on other sources for the standard configuration which is pretty straight forward but it is not working properly in my scenario.
