what is the vswitch/portgroup nic teaming policy are you using?
Policy is default:
Load Balancing: Port ID
Failure detection:Link Status Only
Notifiy switches: no
Failback: yes
Active adapters: vmnic0,vmnic1, vmnic2, vmnic3
Standby: none
Unused: none
do you have any link Link aggregation/port channel configuration in the physical switch?
Indeed I did; I built a LAG group using the 4 ports connected to the VM host:
lag vmware4 static
ports eth 15/1 to 15/4
primary-port 15/1
deploy
ok, can you remove this Link aggregation/port channel configuration from the physical switch and see if it works? The Link aggregation/port channel configuration should be done only if you are using the nic teaming policy "Route based on IP hash". thanks
I did remove the LAG config, and I'm movig traffic again; I'm just not certain that the links are actualy aggregating...
Has anyone figured out how to get 802.1AD functioning in Vsphere on Foundry/Brocade infrastructure. As soon as I enable link-aggregation the traffic stops as well. Remove the aggregation and the communication comes back. I've tried the same with trunking, no luck.
Anyone?
Link Aggregation is actually refer to 802.3AD.
Only use IP HASH load balance with 802.3AD(Link Aggregation/Etherchannel) setup.
Hope I'm not get wrong about your question.
