Microsoft NLB on a Port Channel

Hi Folks,

I've read that a static ARP entry is required to ensure the cluster VIP created in Microsoft NLB works correctly with the network switch.

http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&docTypeID=DT_KB_1_1&e...

However, each of the two VM's in my NLB cluster are connected to a vDS configured with VLAN tagging. I have multiple VLANs presented over a port channel to the vDS.

Does the use of VLAN tagging/Port Channel make any difference to the procedure of setting up the static ARP entry?

Thanks,

Michael

So long as your  NLB nodes are on the same vlan you should be fine.
