We are undertaking a redesign of our environment which will be fairly large. Because we service a large amount of PCI customers, we impliment many VLANs this of course requires port groups.
I know that using a standard vSwitch the max port groups are 256 per switch. For a vdSwitch the limits should be the vCenter limits which should be 10000.
Has any one actually used 1000 or more port groups on a single dvSwitch? If so what's the max dvPort groups that you've used and were there any complications?
