Is everyone comforable with Management Port on Distributed Switch?

On ESXi 5.5 Update 2. All documentation states if vCenter has issues, I should still be able to connect to my hosts. Data network cards are already on Distributed Switch. I would like to get rid of my Standard Switch which at this point is only used for Management Network.

This scheme works fine for me. The point of Distributed Switch is: actually there are "invisible" standard switches on each ESXi host, it is just managed centrally from vcenter. And you can connect to the host directly even if vcenter is down, so you can delete Standard  switches from hosts.
