I have a question about VMware networking. I have a router that route a 172.100.1.0 to 192.168.3.1 network. My ESXi 5.5 host have the IP 192.168.3.2. In de ESXi CLI can I ping 8.8.8.8, but in a VM I can't.

My firewall's on the router, ESXi and the Windows server are disabled.

To be able to help you need to provide some more details about the virtual switch setup and the VM's network configuration.

From the ESXi command line, it's the Management Network connection which is used. The VM however will use a VM-Network port group, and this has nothing to do with the host's Management Network nor it's firewall.

The problem was solved after I restart the network service... But thnx for your reply!
