How to update 1000v general properties?

Does anyone know if there is a way to update the Product and Version information for the 1000v in vSphere after doing an upgrade? From what I can tell it isn't dynamic and I can't figure out how to edit it.

I recently upgraded the 1000v VSM from SV1.2 to SV1.3 but that is not reflected in vSphere. It still shows the version it was created with. Here are pictures of what vSphere shows and what the VSM shows.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Nick,

I stole this from one of our engineers

This information under the summary tab only displays the information

which was defined for the VSM VM as part of the .ovf template and does

not depends on the version of the VSM running inside the VM. Its just

like the labels we put on the servers for identification. Here is how

you can update it

Select the VSM VM -> Edit settings -> Options tab

-> (under) vApp Options -> Advanced -> Makes the changes for

the "Product" and the "Version" fields.

This should fix your problem

Louis,

Thank you for your quick reply! That was exactly what I was looking for and I'm not sure how I missed it. I was really overthinking how to make the change and knew there must be a better way.

FYI- I have also updated the contact information on both modules to email you for help Smiley Wink
