HP NC550SFP Card not showing in ESX.

Hi,

I'm having an issue with installing 10Gb nic in my servers.

I have HP ProLiant DL585 G7 Servers. I am trying to install a HP NC550SFP Dual port Server Adapter.

I have installed the cards on the same servers on one of our sites which worked fine and am now attempting to install them on another site.

I have installed the drivers and updated the firmware on these cards and they are detected in HP Insight Diagnostics and when I run the lspci -v |less command the nics do show up. However they do not appear when I run esxcfg-nics -l and do not appear in VCenter.

Our Servers are running ESX 4.0 U1.

Can anyone help with this?

The cards appeared after a reboot, however I made no configuration changes so I have no idea what caused the cards to not appear.

I have installed them on another server in the cluster and these appeared straight away.
