Are you using Vlan, and if yes, have you added the Vlan id to the Vmnetwork ?

How many nics are you using ?

Have you more than one vswitch ?

Are both the service console, and the Vmnetwork on the same vswitch ?

Have you connectet the network to the VM ?

Try giving us some more details, on your setup.

/Robert

Welcome to the forums!

Which VMware host product do you use?

Which type of networking does the guest use (Bridge, host-only or NAT)?

Post "ipconfig /all" from guest AND host.

I suppose that you are using Workstation/Player or Server.

Are you pinging two IP of the same network?

Or from your guest are your pinging the "external" IP of your host? (it will not work if your have a host-only network)
