Connecting to an Equalogic Array using Port Binding

Hiya,

I am setting up Port Binding on an ESXI host and have 2 VMkernels connected to 2 NICs, which is the correct way, but when specifying the IP address for the Target do I specify the same Group IP address for each VMkernel?

I am connecting up to a single Equalogic member.

cheers Mike

‌Hi,

Assign both VMkernel ports to iSCSI software adapter, then add your EqualLogic Group IP to the Dynamic Discovery tab.

i had this same question a while back so did a post on it - https://samperrin.com/vmware/equallogic-ps4100-esxi-5-5-vmkernel-setup/

Hi, if you have one target then you will add the same IP target for both iSCSI adapter.

Make sure the both vmkernels are on the same subnet.

There is a guide on how to configure this here: Configuring iSCSI Connectivity with VMware vSphere 6 and Dell PS Series Storage - Dell TechCenter Me...
