Can't communicate via NetBEUi protocol

Let's forgo the reasons why I should not be using NetBEUi...I know it is a problem with slowing down a network.

I am running an ESX4.0 host and I have a Win2008 guest installed on it. I installed the NetBEUi protocol from a WinXP disc onto my Win2008 guest without errors. I have a WinXP SP3 guest running on the same host with NetBEUi protocol installed too. I can't get the two guests to communicate with eachother when only using the NetBEUi protocol. My WinXP guest can communicate with other TCP/IP physical machines on the same network, but it cannot communicate with a physical machine on the same network that's only using NetBEUi.

Any suggestions?

ok...found the solution.

Apparently during the install of NetBEUI, you also have to manually copy the NBF.sys file from the WinXP CD to C:\Windows\System32\drivers folder as well. I missed that part of the installation of the protocol. All is now working.
