Active&Active vs Active&Standby (Route based on originating virtual port)

Hello all,

My question is;

We have a distributed port group with "Load Balancing" option is set to "Route based on originating virtual port" (2 uplinks available)

My question is which configuration provides better performance (if possible) with two options: Active&Active uplinks vs Active&Standby uplinks.

Hi,

I will suggest you the Active&Active while you have loadbalancig, redundancy and twice the bandwidth as by Active&Standby.

When something happens then one is broken and will not work but the second is still alive. But by Active&standby you have all but still use only one port and have the bandwidth from only one port and not from two together.
