[6.7 standalone] Link aggregation

Hi,

I have a HP 1810 which supports LACP. My VMWare Host is a Dell T620 with 1Gb interfaces.

In ESX I created a vSwitch with both NICs. NIC teaming is set to "Route based on IP hash". Port group is "Inherit from vSwitch".

On the HP I created a trunk, "LACP active" with both ports.

But the HP says "Link status" down.

What did I miss?

Thank you!

On ESXi standalone, there is no LACP that's possible. You can only use static LAGs.

LACP is not supported on VSS with HP switches.

Please take a look at the "HP switch sample configuration" section in https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/1004048 for a sample configuration.

Thank you.

I changed the HP to "static" but the link is still down:

Are those settings correct?

Addendum: Rebooted the switch, link is up now. Thank you.
