vsphere ent. plus with 1 processor

hi all,

i have an inquiry regarding the licenses i have for vsphere (vsphere enterprise plus with 1 processor) but one of the server i have is 2 physical cpu with 6 cores each.  what is the impact on my license?  does it mean i can't use the other cpu or i can only use 6 logical cpu per server. or what?

thanks for any comment or help you may add.

Even though Enterprise Plus is good for up to 12 cores per license, you can't split a single license between multiple physical CPUs.

you will have insufficient license and your VM will not be power on. It's either you remove 1 socket physically or purchase 1 more CPU enterprise plus add on.

That was a typo - you can't split a vSphere license between CPUs.

Sorry about that - unfortunately one letter missing and the meaning becomes the opposite.
