vsphere db upgrade

Hi,

Still running VC2.5 U5, i use a local SQL Express SP3 instance on the VC server. The database size is currently aroung 2GB (i believe SQL Express has a limit of 4GB). Is the upgrade increasing the db size, do you know how much?

Running around 23 hosts (150 VMs)

I am not sure about the increasing size,

But, the default DB is recommended for small deployments - 5 host up to 50 VMs

Check the vSphere Upgrade Guide in the DB Requirements Section.

If you are not in production, you can use a free DB like Oracle 10g or Oracle Xe to sert up a remote DB.
