vcenter installation stop at installed vmware-directory-client 91%

Hi, I am setting up a new vcenter V6.7 using ui-installer but the setup stuck at 91% while the screen showing "Installed vmware-directlry-client-6.7.0.4837-14192624.x86_64.rpm", how can I check what's wrong and how can it fix it? I need to setup the vcenter by next week, thanks very much for your help.

Hey @daveyuen,

For the error you are facing it seems that is getting stuck on the Stage 1 where the appliance is being deployed, configured and got the IP assigned so check the next:

  1. That you have connectivity from where you are triggering the Installation Wizard to the IP of the vCenter.
  2. That DNS Resolution is working (A and PTR records)
  3. That you have configured the correct IP, Netmask and Gateway for the vCenter.
  4. That the vCenter is placed in the correct portgroup.

I recommend you to trigger the installation again to get the latest logs in real-time if possible.
