vSphere client freezing/locking up client PC

Hi,

has anyone similar experience(and if so .... found a resolution yet?)

- on a Vista client PC (4 GB RAM, Core 2 Quad extreme CPU, Vista 32 Bit)

- I'm using the vSphere client to connect to one of my 2 ESXi 4.0 servers

sometimes, it completely freezes my pc, I can go days without any issues, then days where it locks up the pc, multiple times a day .... it has happened when connected to any of the 2 esxi servers

it only happens when :

- the client is open, and I click or do something in it

- or a few seconds after the client has started

(so e.g. when it is just open in the background, and I don't touch it, I've not seen it freeze yet)

I've an older xp machine, same client to same ESXi server : no issues so far

vSphere client : version 4.0.0, build 162856

Thanks

L.

what version of Vista are you running? The below is what is supported for th vSphere Client

>Windows Vista Business

>Windows Vista Enterprise

>Windows Vista Business 64‐bit

I've had client lockups. Just like any dotnet application on windows, it gets wonky. Logout and log back in to fix it.

That is my duck tape fix.
