Hi,
Is anybody aware as to when we can expect vSphere 6.1
Thanks
As you know VMware doen't usually communicate release dates. However, if you'd ask my for a guess, I'd say sometime around VMworld 2016.
André
We have just completed upgrading to vSphere 6 using updating manager, once you have the infrastructure in-place is fairly easy to upgrade and you can rolling upgrade.
Thanks Andre,
Is there likely to be any interim releases as we've installed vSphere 6.0 Update 1a but it seems to have a couple of bugs such as via the VI client 'Snapshot icon' reporting that all VMs have a snapshot. I know if you use the WebClient that this issue goes away.
Cheers
Sorry, but I do have no insight in VMware's versioning. I didn't upgrade my clients to vSphere 6 so far due to several critical issues in this version, which are hopefully fixed now with U1a (plus the latest patch).
Regarding vSphere Clients and overviews. The main tool I'm using to get an overview is RVTools.
André
Thanks Andre,
RVTools is a great tool, I also utilise that.
The snapshots what just one of the issues I noticed, however I have also noticed this warning message being shown on one of our ESX hosts:
IntrCookie: Interrupt received on invalid vector (cpu34,vector 72) ignoring it
This is strange as I've upgraded two hosts which are completely identical yet only one of them is reporting this message. I've done a bit of searching on the web and again it appears to possibly be a bug.
You mentioned (plus the latest patch). Can you point me in the direction to get this ?
Thanks

This was yesterday . Today VMware released Update 1b.
Anyway, to answer your question, for an excellent overview of the patches see https://esxi-patches.v-front.de/ESXi-6.0.0.html. You can either use the links on this site to download individual vibs, or download the complete patch package (.zip file) from http://support.vmware.com/selfsupport/download/
André
Thanks Andre,
If I take the latest patch, will it incorporate the previous patch releases in it?
Basically yes, see e.g. Are ESXi Patches Cumulative. To find ou what exactly changed in all the patches released so far take a look at http://vibmatrix.v-front.de/

Great stuff, thanks for your help Andre
I would actually just followed Vladans blog
