vSphere 4.1 Database Compatible with SQL 2008 SP1?

We have recently upgraded our vCenter installation to 4.0 update 2 and moved our vCenter Database to our SQL 2008 Standard SP1 SQL server.

I have been reviewing the 4.1 release notes and compatibility guide and it only lists SQL 2008 compatibility - it does not list SP1.

Does anyone know if 4.1 will work on SQL 2008 Standard with SP1?

Yes. It works for SP1. We always test vCenter Server with latest DB and OS patches if they are available before our RC release.

do you know the reason why - according to the compatibility matrix - "SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition 64-bit" isn't supported for VUM whereas the Enterprise version is ?
