vDS upgrade 6.5 to 7.0.2

A specified parameter was not correct: spec.uplinkTeamingPolicy.uplinkPortOrder.activeUplinkPort The activeUplinkPortName value : uplink2 is not valid in the spec.uplinkTeamingPolicy.uplinkPortOrder.activeUplinkPort.

I would like to create a new vds on my current esxi version (7.0.2d), and import the existing config to it to safely upgrade from 6.5 to 7.0.2. I have 34 hosts and 20 port groups, so it would be nice to not have to manually do this.

Am I overthinking this? My concern is all of my hosts losing connectivity if the upgrade fails. I intended to MM my hosts, and migrate them over to the new dvs once configured.

I have tested several different methods in my lab, and getting nowhere. When I attempt to import a saved config to a fresh vds and fresh port group I get this error.
