vCenter Lost, All esxi Hosts are with vDS, what needs to be done

Dear All,

We have a problem where we have lost our vcenter which was running on Windows 2012 R2, version 6.0U2, had some problem with embedded PostgreSQL database, some corruption. As a result of that not able to start vcenter server service. Unfortunately also no backup available.

All Esxi hosts are having vDS, now in present situation what is the possible options for us, how we take care about vDS and re-register all Esxi hosts to new vcenter?

Regards,

You need to open a support request with GSS.

There's a bit of work involved in this - migrating/recreating the host management networking so you can connect it back into you newly build VC, and then sort out the VM networking and recreating the VM DVS. I would allow for vm downtime on this , its loosely based on the steps here VMware Knowledge Base  Did you open an SR with the VMware networking team for guidance on this, they may be able to give you pointers on the process
