Hi All, I am looking for guidance from the VMWare Tech community on the following: Is it possible to upgrade a vCenter 6.5 environment with two external PSC servers to venter 7.0 to convert the environment into a single embedded server? IF so, where may I start with this process? I am trying to avoid going from 6.5 to 6.7, but instead go straight to 7.0
It is my first time in an external PSC topology. I. done upgrades from 6.0 to 6.5 and 6.7 in a single embedded topology which is easier 🙂 I guess 😃
OK! no problem ... with 7.0, since there are no other possibilities, it converts automatically ... I've done it many times.

Hi,
vCenter 7.0 has PSC Embedded (only solution), when you upgrade to version 7.0 the external PSC is automatically converted to PSC Embedded.

Thanks Alex 👍 Just to clarify then, going from version 6.5 to 7.0 with the external PSC topology is 100% a supported upgrade path? Should I first remove one of the PSC from the topology and keep one for simplicity before the upgrade? The secondary PSC is a stand-by for manual recovery as per KB: vCenter topologies
Yes, right! do as you wrote and when you only have one PSC, update the VCSA.
Is this your first time doing a VCSA update?
