Hello,
I was just wondering about the proper upgrade process from vCenter 5.0.0 to vCenter 5.0 U1. Is the only way to do this upgrade to download the full 2GB installer package and run that against my current 5.0 install? Or is there a smaller updater available for people already at v5.0 on their vCenter?
Am I missing something in Update Manager?
I wasn't finding anything specifically calling out an updater only package in the forums or downloads section.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Unfortunately, vCenter Server for Windows is only available as a full package, so you will have to download the large installation package.

Update manager doesnt support upgrading vCenter Server. vCenter installer is the only supported option for upgrading or installing vCenter Update1. so we've to use one of the following bundles (iso or zip).
VMware vCenter Server 5.0 and modules File size: 2.4G File type: iso Version: 5.0.0U1 MD5SUM: f860ac4b618e2562ebffa2318446fa5b SHA1SUM: 62830e3061b983e98944ae6d9d3b2e820cebe270 | |

Thanks all for the info.
It would be nice if they offered an update only package. Maybe in the future.

If you want to experience it in full, you really need to get the whole package as it always works that way.
