upgrading linked mode vcsa 6.7u3 with external pscs to vcsa7

I am about to upgrade vcsa from 6.7 to 7.0 which I am using all external PSCs

I did the test in a lab and I did it one site at a time. (converged the PSC in one site, and ran the vcsa upgrade)

But vmware is saying I need to converge all the PSCs in all sites before upgrading to vcsa7

any idea?

Hey !

  • The right way to upgrade will be to converge all the external psc's to embedded .
  • Decommission the external PSC after all the verification are done
  • Once decommissioned , delete those PSC .
  • Now you have VCSA with embedded PSC , proceed with the upgrade .

Cheers!

Hi tdubb123,

If the PSC's are in linked mode then before upgrading the to 7.0 the complete environment or the topology has to be converged to an embedded set.

If there is no replication between the PSC's then you can converge one by one as per the sites.
