esxi and HP VSA Question

Hi

Im hoping someone can help me as im getting desperate! Ive looked everywhere but cant find the answer to my easy question.

I have 3 HP Proliant DL380p servers with 3x480gbSSD in a RAID5 and 6x1.2TB SAS in a RAID50.

These drives will create a VIRTUAL SAN using the HP VSA software

I have installed esx on an internal USB drive

My question is concerning the HP VSA software and where to locate the appliance for each server?  Is it ok to install on the Virtual SAN for each server?

I hope that makes sense???

thanks

Mark

Welcome to the Community - Yes it should be ok to store the VM on  the virtual SAN -

Thanks for the reply.

Just one further questions then, in the event of a power failure, how does the VSA app VMs start up to make the Virtual SAN come online?

As they control the SAN, if they are not online, how does it work??
