I am updating from 5.1 to 5.5u3

I am doing this

esxcli software profile update /vmfs/volumes/xxx/VMware-ESXi-5.5.0.update03-3248547.x86_64-Dell_Customized-offline-bundle-A04.zip -p profilename -f

after this command

can I also run

esxcli software vib install  -d /vmfs/volumes/drivers/nic drivers.zip?

as well as run

esxcli software vin install -d /vmfs/volumes/patchupdate.zip?

or do I need to reboot first?

Hi,

Yes, you would need to reboot, as U3 would include esxi image which requires for changes to be effective.  You always include --dry-run at the end of command to confirm if reboot is required.
