english vSphere Client on german os?

Hi

Is it possible to install the vSphere Client in englisch on a german

host system? Or is there a special "englisch only" version of the

vSphere client. i downloadad the regular installer from the download

area and it seems to be a multilanguage package. but i can´t choose

which language i want to install. on german os i get a german client,

on englisch os i get an englisch client. is it possible to run an

englisch vSphere client on a german os? please help

Hi Daniel

To start the vSphere client in English you can add the following option to the shortcut of your vSphere Client at the end of the Target-Line:

-locale en_US

Than the client should start in English.

On a German OS with default installation path the target line should look like this:

"C:\Programme\VMware\Infrastructure\Virtual Infrastructure Client\Launcher\VpxClient.exe" -locale en_US

Maybe you have placed the option within the quotation marks?

Now the programme runs on English

I had forgotten the blank character between ...." and -locale en_US.
