can i update from vsphere 5.1 up 1 to 5.1 up2 HP Custom?

Hi to all, maybe a stupid question, but I've to update a exsi 5.1 Update 1 on an HP server but non a customized image with 5.1 update 2. I see that HP have a custom 5.1 up 2 image. can I upgrade or is better i use a non customized one? anyone tried this? the difference is HP custom has agents for raid control while standard one has not...

Yes, this should work.

That should work. As the HP Customized image having all the drivers and firmware which supports your hardware and best configuration respective to your server.

So i should suggest you that you must use customized image respective to your hardware vendor to avoid any glitches and head scratching issues.

If possible i always use the custom Image the Vendor offers -> all drivers/sensors/you name it are normaly included in these images
