Hello,

in my opinion you will have absolutely no trouble at all, I don't know that much about how ESXi actually sees the physical sectors and if it even makes any difference between 512/512e/4k sectors but you will be all right. The only thing I can recommend to you is making the RAID Stripe Size of 1MB (if possible) to align the IOs with 1MB/block of VMFS filesystem.
