after upgrade ESXI from 5.1.0 to 6.0.0 1 host out of 3 switches to evaluation mode after I enter the licence key

Hi,

as per title after upgrading ESXI from 5.1.0 to 6.0.0 on 3 hosts I entered the VMware vSphere 6 Essentials licence key but one host keeps switching to evaluation mode which expires this week.

I checked and the licence key is for 3 hosts (Max 2 processors per host) and the problematic host has 2, the others 2 hosts have 3 total.

So what could cause this issue?

If the ESXi hosts are managed by vcenter, please check the license usage on vCenter. Could be stale license entries or usage entries which needs to be removed or engage license team to verify the license
