Windows 2008 VM losing connectivity

One of my VM which is running 2008, R2 is keep losing it's connectivity. It is running under vSphere, Update 1. Everything looks good at the ESX networking level, but I can't find the culprit. Anyone have any ideas? the VM is running SQL 2008 database as well.

Any more info, what kind of NIC did you use for the VM ?

Anythning in the vCenter events ? The vpxd log ?

The NIC which was created by default upon creating on that VM.

I am only seeing the below error in vcenter log.

You could try the advise from .

But I don't think that has anything to do with your guest loosing it's connection intermittently.

there is also a known issue with the VMXNET3 adapter losing it's gateway configuration. You may try, if you are not using, the E1000 adapter. Or upgrade to U2, where the issue is addressed.
