Vmware Hypervisor card

Hi,

I am a newbie to Vmware Hypervisor card technology .I have a Vmware ESX server 3.5 running on hypervisor card on Dell poweredge M1000e blade chasis.I want to upgrade this to ESX4 .Can I use the vsphere update utility to upgrade this to ESX4.Will there be any effect on the Hypervisor card ?Please advise.

Have you checked the hypervisor card is on the vmware vspher hcl?If it is and supported it should't cause any problems to upgrade it

Im not sure what you mean by "hypervisor card." Do you mean you are using embeaded ESXi?

Yes Hypervisor card is embedded SD/USB card.
