I have the following products in production now:
VMware ESXi, 5.0.0, 821926
vSphere Client 5.0.0 build 623323
vSenter Server 5.0.0 build 623373
Are these the latest versions?
My baselines are scanned frequently and according to the Update Manager I'm updated. However when I carefully look at the version numbers above, they are version 5.0 and not 5.1 as this is the newest vsphere version. When I sought to create an upgrade baseline and browsed to vmware.com's 'My Downloads' I don't find a 5.1 ESXi image to save locally for the Update Manager's Upgrade baseline. How do I correctly configure Update Manager to automatically download upgrades as soon as they get available?
Secondly, I currently run vcenter server on a dedicated windows server. I welcome the news about running vcenter server as an appliance. Does it exist a way to copy our current vcenter server's data over to the new vcenter appliance..?
