VSphere 5.1 Install Error 1335

Background

Fresh install of VSphere 5.1.0 U1 on a Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise x64

MS SQL 2012 Enterprise SP1 x64

Member of a 2K3 domain

UAC disabled for the user account installing VSphere

MD5SUM matches

SSO installed ok

inventory installed ok

VSphere is failing with an error 1335 vpx.cab is corrupt

vpx.cab is extractable via 7zip

Any ideas?

Same error on 5.5.0a. Turned off UAC. Same error.
