VM created on Esxi 5.0 don't work on Esxi 6.0

Hi. I m a beginner in VMWare ESXi and I m trying power on a VM on ESXi 6.0, what has been originally created on ESXi 5.0.

But I receive the next message:

"Failed to start the virtual machine.

You are running VMware ESX through an incompatible hypervisor. You cannot power on a virtual machine until this hypervisor is disabled."

The sites say that ESXi 6.0 is compatible with 5.0. But my VMs don't work.

Is this a nested setup ? i.e. ESXi running inside another hypervisor like VMware Workstation / Fusion / whatever ?

I installed the ESXi 6.0 in a virtual machine from Virtual Box. So, I created a VM and used an existent disk. That disk was created on ESXi 5.0 what I need to know if work on ESXi 6.0.

OK I never tried this in VirtualBox. I've done it with Workstation and ESXi.

The error message means that ESXi requires some features which are NOT provided by your VirtualBox config. Unfortunately I'm unable to help. There's a lot of info regarding nested hypervisors on virtuallyghetto.com but it's about VMware hypervisors. With VMware Workstation/Fusion/ESXi some special configuration is required to be able to power on VMs in the nested hypervisor. Maybe you'll find equivalent settings in VirtualBox.

I've got 2 ESXi 6.5 VMs running on ESXi 6.0 here.
