VCenter 2.5 U3 to VMware vCenter Server 4.1 on different hardware

I have 2.5 U3 running on W2K3 32-bit with SQL Express

I need to "upgrade" it to VMware vCenter Server 4.1 moving to new hardware running W2K8 R2 (64-bit of course) also using SQL Express

What would be the most logical way?

are you looking to rebuild? SQL Express migration to another SQL Express migration may be a bit difficult, but if you have a good DBA, it may be easy for them.

You can look at this KB article

You mean myself (as in one man shop)

And why it is not possible to just detach DB & attach it to the newly installed SQL Express on different machine, and then point the install to it?
