VCSA 6.5 recover OS root password?

Dear all,

I have upgraded my VCSA from 6.0 U2 to 6.5 and am unable to login to the Management GUI or the Cli with the root password provided during the upgrade.

I tried the tried and tested method of booting the appliance into single-user - but there seems to be no more GRUB boot loader where I can choose or edit the boot params.

Is there any other way that I have overlooked in order to reset the OS root password?

I have looked through the 6.5 documentation but to no avail.

- Many thanks, Peter
