Upgrading to ESX4 after blocksize change in 3.5

I recently had to downgrade from 4 to 3.5 so I can change the block size of my datastore.

Now it is time to do an upgrade but I want to make sure I do so without reverting back to the default blocksize of 1 MB.

How do I go about doing this? Do I use the VI 4 client? Is there an upgrade option on the ESX4 Install DVD?

I am unaware of any upgrade that will change the block size of your LUNS. The only way to change the block size is to reformat and present back as a larger block size LUN

I see where I made the mistake... I was doing a full install instead of an upgrade.
