Upgraded vSphere 5.5 u2 to vSphere 5.5 u3

After upgrading all the part of the vSphere 5.5 using the ISO image (VMware-VIMSetup-all-5.5.0-3000346-20150901-update03.iso)

I upgrade the following on the vCenter server

vCenter Single Sign-On

vSphere Web Client

vCenter Inventory Service

vCenter Server

From my pc connected to the vcenter server using the web client, logged in ok with SSO

and get the following message

pastedImage_1.png

and all the inventory is empty

pastedImage_3.png

If i use the vSphere Client, I get the following message

pastedImage_6.png

I have notice a few of the services have not started

If I try to start the two Hilight services I get a error message 1068 or 1053

Any ideas

Please restart your vCenter server host, let the services come up - see if that helps.

if you have already done this then, please upload latest vpxd-##.log file.

I enclose the file vpxd-132.log from C:\ProgramData\VMware\VMware VirtualCenter\Logs

also I notice the file has not been updated, still says 9th October 2015 when I upgrade the vSphere to 5.5u3

Also I have reboot the vCenter server

To fix this problem, I did the following....

1) I removed all the part of the VMware from the server

  • vCenter Server
  • vCenter Inventory Service
  • vCenter Web Client
  • vCenter Single Sign-On
  • and any other Vmware products

2) Reboot server and then open the Registry and remove ever link to VMware

3) Reboot Server Again

4) now install the vSphere again using the Custom install option

5) setup the Simple Sign-On

6) Added all the host server back into the vCenter
